LI:To remember basic maths facts.

This week I had did my Basic Facts up to 5 Speed Demon.

Inquiry| Poem|Diamante.

LI:To identify vocabulary and language features for us to use in writing a poem about feeling.

Today we learnt how to write a poem.I did a diamante poem because it was easier for me to do.
We had to write about 2 emotions.When we choose 1 you have to choose the opposite emotion
that we choosed.

I learnt by going on the LS1 class site a go on the link under diamante,then it will take were
you can write your poem.

The tool that we used was a thesaurus because it will be easier for us to find some words that
mean the emotions that choosed.

Duffy show.

Today PBS had a duff show.We had a special visitor Robert Rakete.

He is the brown wiggle,he is on the radio and he is on dancing with the stars.Before he talked to us we had to sing the duffy song.We he talked to us he asked about 4 or 5 people what their favourite book is.Most kids favourite books were captain under pants.His favourite book was Astersick.

Can do| Thesaurus

LI:To learn new words.

Today we had to do a can do.I decided to do the thesaurus one.You have to read a book for 15 minutes or read it to the end,and enter a new word or a hard word into the center of the chart.Then we had to use a thesaurus so you know what it means.

LI:Is to learn how to comment on someone's blog.

Today I was learning how to comment on someone's blog.Today I commented on Jay Lee's blog post because saw that she had 3 infographics on her kiwi can,so I commented her's cause it was really interesting.

Writing| Imaginative recount| Little Red Riding Hood

LI:To write an Imaginative Recount. Today we were learning how to write an a imaginative recount.We had to complete the event and the ending.We had to do that in groups. We had to do that in groups so it will be easier to finish the event and the ending. The only tool that we used was a google slide so we have more room to write our event and our ending.

Music|Week 10|Term 1.

LI:To learn how to play a song on the keyboard.

Today for music 6 people had to go on one of the keyboard,and I was chosen to go on one of the keyboards.When I went on the keyboard the volume was maximum.It was really really loud,it was so loud it almost made me deaf.Once I turned down the volume I tried to remember how to play one of the songs that we learnt how to play on the keyboard,ukulele or xylophones.Then I remembered how to play 1 call away.Then about 8,9 or 10 minutes later some people on the xylophones hap to swap with someone on the key boards.We played one song on the xylophones,then we had to clean up because we only had like about 2 minutes.

Statistics

LI.to learn something about class or school using statistics.
This week we were learning about where is the most poplour place to sit and rest in PBS.
We made a google slide,each group had to create and share it to the class speaking about the slide.
We had to do:

• Your study question
• Your prepation 
• Your graph
• Your answer/answers

Also everyone had to speak some part.

Term 1 Kiwi Can Overview

LI:To recap everything we did in kiwi can.

Today in kiwi can we recapped all of our learning from term 1.Our big theme was Positive Relationship. Our 3 modules were Positive communication,co-operation and friendship.

We made 3 groups.Each group talked about the 5 W's & H for 1 modules.After we talked as a group,each group shared their ideas back to the class.

The 1 thing I enjoyed this was net ball tag because it was really challenging.
The 1 thing I learnt was friendship.I learnt it by talking about it as a group.
The 1 thing I need to get better at is communicating with my group.

William Henry Lynch

LI:To unlock keywords and to summarize the text. We were learning about making an info-graphic.We had to choose an item that were from some soldiers and volunteers.I choose a paper that was from William Henry Lynch.William Henry lynch was a volunteer who had really bad teeth but had military experience when he was younger.

Pixel Art

This week for the Pixel art I have drown one hearts.
I have been colouring in the middle which is the red and colouring the outside part which is the black.

Te Rauangaanga mahuta's fact\story

LI.To mind information about our person that went to WWI or WWII.
Toady I made a poster about Te Rauangaanga Mahuta one of the facts were Rauangaanga Mahuta's birth date was on 1816.
When we made our poster we had to go on canva and make a poster about our person.

Writing

LI.to change the narritive to the recount.
This week we were doing a change of a narritive to the recount.
To do this we had to make a pla on a TREE, the tree is standing for:Title,Reveal,Events and Ending.

Math

LI:To collect the data and clean it.

We were learning how to collect the data and clean it.We learnt it by asking people were is there favourite place to sit or rest.

Basic Fact

LI:Learn how to subtract numbers 10 and under.
Today we had to make a goggle sheet and do subtraction.When you finished answering the question we had to cheek it if it's right.If it's not write you have to colour the box red and write wrong,if you get them right you have to colour it green and write good.After we did that we had to write a blog post about it.

Today I was learning how to comment on someone's blog.Today I commented on Aliqwa's blog post because I saw that she was learning about place value.

Music|Week 9.

LI: To learn how to play notes and chords.

Today we were went to room eight to do music. A group of people went on the keyboards, xylophones, and Ukuleles. I was on the Ukuleles first then after 15 minutes switched to the xylophones. We were practicing the notes: C, F, A, & G. I think I am pretty good at the notes. If you can master the notes C, F, A, & G you can play most songs. My favourite thing to play on is the Ukuleles and Keyboards because on the Keyboards you can use headphones to not hear anything else other than your Keyboard. A Ukulele is fun to play on it if you actually concentrate on the notes and chords. I enjoyed playing the Ukulele and Xylophone.

Kiwi Can|Week 9.

L.I to build positive Relationships.
Today in Kiwi Can we were learning about Friendship. We learnt that there are times we can say No!

We discussed different ways to say NO we discussed that don't cause disrespect. We did a activity called empathy role play. A group acted out a situation and as a class, we needed to decide the way to say no.
The options were:

• No thanks!
• Let's do something else instead
• It's just not my thing
• That's not a nice thing to do.
  

Poetry

LI:To identify purposes for poems.To identify characteristics of poems.

Poetry is a text for communicating ideas and expressing feelings to people.

Poetry can include sound patterns.They are rhyme and rhythm.

We learnt by highlighting the rhymes in the poems.The tools that we used were a list of poems and a highlighter.

Rhyming is repeating sounds in words.There are four kinds of rhymes:consonance,end rhyme,alliteration,and assonance.

Consonance is sounds of consonants that are repeated.

End rhyme is sounds that are repeated at the end of each line.

Alliteration is sounds repeated at the beginning of each word.

Assonance is vowel sounds that are repeated in each word.
