Affixes Challenge

LI: To use prefix and suffix knowledge to increase vocabulary understanding

This week for our new affixes challenge our prefix is anti. We needed to fill up the empty text boxes with anti prefix words, then we would need to use our reserching skills to find the definition.

Next, we needed to choose five words we found and put them into a compound sentences. A compound sentence is formed by adding two main clauses together using conjuctions. Example: The time machine clock went anticlock wise therefore we went back in time.

Lastly, we chose a word to illistrate. We needed to explain the definition of the prefix, root word, and suffix parts.

I found this activity interesting because I learnt new words that helped me build my vocabulary.
