Summer Learning Journey | Nga Mihi o te tau hou/Happy New Year

Today I completed week three day five task one for the summer learning journey. This was a Maori task.

First, I went onto the summer learning journey blog to see what I have to do. I also needed to read an article.

Next, I made my own google drawing which is were I made my poster. The five languages I used was French, Samoan, Filiopino, Spanish, and Japanese.

Lastly, I added their flags next to them.

This task was easy because I was able to search up the translation.

  1. Hey Te Raumati,

Well done on this new years activity. It’s really cool to learn how different people are celebrating the new year and the words that are shared around the globe as new year's comes to them. Did you know we are one of the first countries to get the new year along with Samoa, Tonga, Fiji and Kiribati.

My Dad’s a missionary in Romania and he wished me “An nou fericit” which is Happy new years in Romania so there’s a bonus one for you too.

    Great work Te Raumati,
See you later in the comments,

    Daniel
