Email Etiquette

LI:To learn how to write etiquette emails

For this cybersmart task, I created a etiquette email to the manaiakalani team describing our school and class. I also needed to explain why PBS is the best school in the world. I needed to watch a video explaining the task. Once I completed my email I sent it to the manaiakalani team, who relpied back thanking for taking my time to complete this cybersmart task.

I enjoyed attempting this task because it showed ways I could wirte emails politely.

Tidy Drive

LI: To learn how to keep your drive clean

For this cybersmart task, we created a Slide helping John clean his drive. We created this working with my group Joshua and Liletina. We worked together by sharing our ideas and understanding what to do , why is it important , why is it good and why is it bad. I liked working with my buddies because we shared our ideas. We also worked collaboratively.  This cybersmart helped us understand why it is food to put the correct things in the right folder.

PB4L

Today we have done an activity on asking to go to the bathroom, drink, or office. First we thought of different ways why it’s important to let the teacher know they need to leave the room, who is affected if they do not follow the system, and how would you feel if something went wrong. After thinking of three different examples we started to write down the answer that we thought was the best. Something I found interesting during this activity was sharing what we thought was a good cybersmart to show younger children.

Cybersmart Task 2

LI: Be cybersmart and use our devices to learn, create, and share.

When you use your chrome book you need know your keyboards. Our second part of our cybersmart task was about knowing your keyboards. We had to complete a slide deck showing how to learn to know your keys. The first slide we spelt our names on a picture of a keyboard showing who complited the slide deck. Slide two tests how well we know the keyboard by point the right text to the right key. The last slide we had to write down the shortcuts we know. I found this task interesting because I learnt new shortcuts I could use.

Cybersmart Task 1

LI: To learn kawa of care

When you take your chromebook home you must first learn what and how the kawa of care helps your take good care of your chromebook when it's at home. Our first part of our cybersmart task was about the kawa of care. We had to complete three posters showing how you take care of your chromebook. The first poster is about when your using your chromebook, for example do not have and liquid  near you when using your chromebook because it might damage your chromebook. Poster  two was about when moving your chromebook, for example you must have your computer closed when walking about with it, poster three was a summary of the first and second poster. I found this task interesting because I got to learn how to look after a chromebook.

How to create a safe password

LI:To learn how to how to create a safe password

This week for cyber smart we had to re-create our own password password to keep our personal information safe. To make a safe and strong password you have to use:

1.Mixed capital and lower case letters
2.Simbles (Puntuation marks)
3.Numbers

There are two types of ways you can make your password, they are random words and acronym. If decided to do the random words you have to pick to random words like pink apples or snake pie. Next you have to replace some of your letters with capital letters, simbles and numbers. For an example 9iNk @99Les.

If you are doing acronym you are writting a 8 word long sentence. Then you have to take the first letter from each word. Then you just have to add your capital letters, simbles and numbers. For an example P!tb$i0S.

LI:To learn how to comment on peoples blog post

This week I have commented on Elaario's reading blog post he did this week. The thing I liked about his blog post is the screenshots of google slides at the bottom of his blog post. The thing I ask him to fix was his blurb. I think he needs to write more information when he writes his blurb but everything else was alright. Well done Elaario!

Legal and illegal images

LI:To understand legal use of images

This week we have been learning about legal and illegal images which includes attributing. Attributing means showing proof that your allowed to use that image. We had to get into groups and talk about what are legal and illegal images and then we had to think about why we need to attribute the image. Next we had to think about the three main things you need to do when you attribute an image, they are the image it self, the creator and their licences. The last thing we had to do was write down the definition, two websites and 1 example of a image on the legal and 2 examples on the illegal side.

LI:To learn how to comment on others blog post.

This week I decided to comment on Shinaye's blog post about a screw because I wanted to see if there's information I didn't know about a screw. She did amazing at completing her google drawing and writing her blurb and the best part is I don't think there's anything I want to ask her to change about her poster of her blurb so well done Shinaye.

Information about a wedge

LI:To apply the print design rules.

This week for cyber smart we are still learning about the print design rules, the print design rules is composition, layout, colour and text. We had to make a poster by ourselves using the print design rules, for help Mr Wong/our teacher wrote steps for us to follow while making our poster. We had to make our posters about one of the tools that we learnt in inquiry. I decided to make my poster about a wedge because I thought that it will be easier to write about a wedge. The first thing I had to do was just put all the information down and the images also we had to put a heading on the top of the poster, then we had to put them in the right place so it looks good. The last thing I did was circle the wedge on the object for people who can't spot it.
