Living on the Edge

Dear AJ,

I just went on a school trip to the tundra.It was so cold and freezing.I think the temperature was -28 degrees.It was really dry because it hardly ever rains just like a desert.It was so strange to see no trees at all.I'm glad we went in summer because winter is so much colder and lasts for 8 months.Sometimes the sun doesn't even rise for weeks.I am so glad to be at home now.I really enjoyed visiting the tundra.

Towering Timbers

I think logging shouldn't be allowed in NZ because it wrecks animals homes and kills the trees.It's not good for mother nature and it doesn't look nice. 

Salt and Pepper

I would make my hotel out of flowers because they are beautiful,colourful,fresh and they give the hotel a good smell.
I would build my hotel somewhere that is warm and rains sometimes because this weather will keep the flowers nice and fresh.

Pancakes and Maple Syrup?

French Toast

Ingredients:
2 eggs
2-6 Tbsp milk
6-8 slices of bread
Golden syrup

Method:
1.Cut the bread in half you can cut the crust off if you want.
2.Beat the eggs and milk in a small bowl with a fork.
3.Heat a frypan on medium heat with a little oil or butter.
4.Using a fork dip the bread into the egg and milk mix and put into
    the frypan.
5.Fry the slices of bread turning when golden brown.
6.Serve with a drizzle of golden syrup.

Weird and Wonderful

First I needed to find out how many days are there in one year.I found out that there are 365 days in one year.Then I had to multiply the days by 3 because the cactus needs 3 mls of water a day.So the answer is 365x3=1095 mls of water for the whole year.
