Living on the Edge

Dear AJ,

I just went on a school trip to the tundra. It was so cold and freezing.I think the temperature was -28 degrees. It was really dry because it hardly ever rains just like a desert. It was so strange to see no trees at all.I'm glad we went in summer because winter is so much colder and lasts for 8 months.Sometimes the sun doesn't even rise for weeks.I am so glad to be at home now.I really enjoyed visiting the tundra.

  1. Kia ora Te Raumati,

This is an awesome post to see from you about your visit to the Tundra! I love how you did a long post with lots of detail and information about the Tundra. The Tundra sounds very cold and like a very harsh climate. I think it would be a very interesting place to visit but I would need to pack lots of warm coats. Have you ever been somewhere really cold?

    Keep up the awesome blogging!

    Talk soon,

    Sophie

  3. Hi Te Raumati...great to see you blogging on the SLJ. There's still some time to complete the activities before school begins - how many more can you get done? Keep up the great work

  4. Hi Te Raumati!,

It's Mele from Panmure Bridge School. Well done for completing this task. I am glad to see you posting these SLJ activities during these summer holidays. Did you enjoy doing this task? Why? I enjoyed reading every part about your letter to AJ. AJ was probably imagining how cold it'd be down there. Did AJ reply back? What did he say?

    NICE:)
