Art house

LI:To create a geometric piece of art only using shapes and lines

Today I finished my digital geometric art work. On a google drawing we had to make this house using shapes and the line tool. I used shapes like triangle, rectangle, square, cloud and sun. The rest of I used the line tool.

First we had to make the furthest thing which was the sky and we had to start doing the furthest to closest. At first I started doing the main things which were the sky, grass and the house. Once I finished the main things I started putting more detail in. The details I drew were clouds, sun and the steps.

At the end I think that my art work looked amazing. My favourite part was drawing the house. I also think that I improved at drawing this artwork using my skills. I found this activity fun and interesting.

Areas of the print design rules

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly - Print Design Rules

Use this document to record your notes as you go around the different posters to identify the four areas of print design.

Colour

Good
Bad
  • This is good because the colours are not clashing and you can see the text
  • This is bad because the colours are clashing and you can’t see the text
  • `
  • This is good because you can see the text and it is easier to read
  • This is bad because the text is harder to read and the colors are clashing.

Composition

Good
Bad
  • This is good because it has pictures.
  • This is bad because this has no photos and it’s going to be hard for people to understand.
  • This is good because it has a heading and it tells you what type of food it is.
  • This is bad because it has no heading and people think these are random photos.

Layout

Good
Bad
  • This is a good layout because the text is good and the picture is good
  • This is bad because the text is on the corner and the reader will not understand.
  • This good because everything is aligned
  • This is bad because it is overlapping with some text and the heading is not at the top.

Text

Good
Bad
  • This is good because the text is all the same and they are the same size.
  • This is bad because the bottom text is bold and they all have different fonts.
  • This is good because the text is aligned with the pictures.
  • The text and all over the place. The text is also center aligned.

Print design rule ideas

LI:To build an understanding in all the rules and areas of Print Design.

Today we are looking at the areas of the print design rules. They are Composion, layout, colour and text. The print design rules help make you DLO's better.

Composion is having a balance of pictures and sentences. Layout is having margins and alingn the text and images. Coulours is using contrasting backrounds and foreground colours. Text is keeping consistent fonts and sizes.

If you use the print design rules your DLO will be better and other people who read it can under stand what your saying. If you don't use the print design rules it will be ugly and people will lose intrest.

Self portrait

LI:To make a digital self portrait

Today we had to finish our self portrait. We had 2 styles to make our digital self portraits, they were simple shapes or or advance shapes. I chose advance shapes. I got an example on a google slide from Mrs Anderson to help everyone including that's also doing advance shapes. The shapes I used to make my self portrait was: Ovals, delay and a diagonal strip. I used the line tool for the rest of my self portrait. I enjoyed doing this activity but I also found it difficult.

I used my self portait to get my bronze cofidance badge. I was able to get my badge by prestenting my self portait. My groups I deserve the badge because I was cofident to show my group my self potrait.

Art work

LI:To earn and look after money by creating with math

This week we are doing art that has to include shapes because this is for math. I wanted to do abstract art because when you do abstract art you can just make your own but instead I just looked at a website that has lot of abstract art that includes shapes. I wanted to draw this art work because it looks easy and it only includes two colour's so I won't take long. This art work has a pattern in it and shapes in it is squares and diamonds. Once we finished drawing the art work we had to measure the width and height, the width for my art work is 16.9 and the height for my art work is 8.3.

Africa druming

LI:To learn Africa drumming.

John from Rhythm Interactive taught us four rhythms on the djembe.

He taught us by singing and clapping the rhythms for us to copy. One of the call and return was "I like chocolate cake", "so do I."

Johuny teaches a message to children. That message is that "together,we can make a change."

Art

LI:Learning how to do art.

Today we were doing art. We were doing it upstairs in LS2. Miss Anderson was teaching us how to draw an apple and some of the LS2 kids helped us as well. She gave us a piece of paper with a picture of an apple on it.

Miss Anderson told us to turn our paper around an trace the apple carefully. While we were tracing the apple Miss Anderson gave all of us a pink piece of paper.Once we were all finish tracing the apple we had to turn it over again so we can trance form it to the pink paper.

We had to put the white piece of paper on top of the pink paper. Then we had to trace it on the outside of the apple. We had to press hard so once we take the white piece of paper off,you will see the picture of the apple on the pink paper. If you can't see it that much you just gently trace it again

.When we finish tracing it we had to colour it in with pascals. We were only allowed to use the colour red, purple, orange, light green, dark green brown and yellow. When we finished we had to give it to Miss Anderson so she can show our teachers.
