Simile

Similes are a comparison of two things using "like" or "as...as".

When similes describe an action, they use "like". For example, "the girl sang like an angel."

When similes uses ajectives, they use "as...as". For example, "the man was as brave as a lion."

Similes help make sentences more interesting and more descriptive.
