Place value counting|Ancient Egyptian numbers

Ancient Egyptian numbers were drawed using seven different symbols thousands of years ago. Egyptians carved symbols on to rocks.

Ones, tens and hundreds were known as ropes. For example if writing 274 in Ancient Egyptian it would be drawed as two coil of rope for 200, seven ox straps for 70 and four rods for 4.

Thousands, ten thousands and hundred thousands were pictures of a frog, finger and lotus. For example if writing 234,000 in Ancient Egyptian it would be drawed as two frogs, three fingers and four lotus.

Ancient Egyptian symbols were used a lot back in the day to communicate with others.
