Summer Learning Journey | Cicadas Do Maths: Kick Start

Today I have completed week 2, task 13 for the Summer Learning Journey. I've decided to attempt the kick start task. For this task I needed to create my own future timeline.

Before I started, I watched a video explaining the task so I know what I'm doing.

Next, I started writing what I would be doing at different ages.

Lastly, I found photos that relate to each explantion.

I enjoyed doing this task because it gave me the oppertunity to think about my future.

Chris here again from the Summer Learning Journey team. Stoked to hear that you enjoyed the task! I agree, thinking about your future is so important. Great to see how important family is to your future goals as well. Do you know might you want to do as a job during all of this? Are you close with your current grandparents?

Looking forward to seeing what else you post!

    Ngā mihi!

    1. Kia Ora Chris,

Thank you for commenting on my blog! I'm not really sure about what job I want to do in the futre. I have been really close with my grandparents. Would you ever create your own future timeline, and why?

Thank you again for commenting! :)

Anytime! That’s cool, you have plenty of time! And that’s great to hear that you’re close with your grandparents. As you get older you find yourself making “timelines” a lot. Every couple of years I find myself coming up with loose plans for the next few years. I’ve done some of what I wanted to do at my current age, but there’s still a lot I want to do by the time I’m 30 (in three years) for example.

      Hari tau hou!
      Chris

It is fantastic to see that you are engaging in the SLJ!!! I really enjoyed the introduction that you included in your post outlining your process of completing the activity. Thank you for sharing your mahi with me and your fellow bloggers. It was also really good to see that you have included images that correspond to the milestones. I really like that you plan on going to study, maybe at a university? because getting a university diploma or a degree really increases the chances of you earning more money to support your family and one day buy a house. I studied for seven years at the university. It was also a lot of fun and you can get the chance to meet amazing people and friends. I really enjoyed seeing that you have a good and kind heart as family is very important to you and is at the center of everything.

It is awesome that you want to be a rugby trainer. Do you like playing rugby? I used to play in the first fifteen in college. I played as a forward. It was a lot of fun.

Keep up the Super work and I hope to see more of your posts during the Summer Learning Journey!!

    Ngā mihi,
    Quein

    1. Kia Ora Quein,

Thank you again for commenting on blog! I'm really not sure about going to university but I will decide once I graduate college. I really like playing rugby since it helps me with my fitness. If you were to try another sport what would it be and why?

Thank you again for commenting! :)
