Summer Learning Journey | Geometric Animal Art

Today I have completed week 4, task 33 for the Summer Learning Journey. I decided to attempt the step it up activity. I needed to make a geometric animal art.

Before I started, I watched a video explaining the task so I know what I'm doing.

Next, I started thinking of a animal that I can draw. I decided to do a dolphin because it's my favourite animal.

Lastly, I started drawing my geometric animal using the polyline tool

I really enjoyed doing this task because it gave me the oppertunity to learn what geometric animal art is and how to make my own.

It is awesome to hear and see that you really enjoyed the activity. I can see that you used a lot of different shapes and a lot of triangles in your image. I think your dolphin is fantasstic and I can see that you put a lot of your time and effort into designing and creating the geometrical dolphin- Ka Pai!!!! It is always a pleasure to see your creativity and imagination.

I really enjoy these geometric activities as I really enjoy the creativity and you can also see how you can use shapes to make wonderful art. What colors would you have used to color it in with?

Keep up the Super work we look forward to your next blog post!!!

    Have a Super Summer!!!

Thank you again for your reply, yes I agree that those would be epic colors for a dolphin. In regards to your question I would like to make a snow leopard they look so majestic and proud but an interesting fact about the snow leopards is that they can not roar instead they make catlike sounds like meow.

It is awesome to see that you made a geometric artwork of the dolphin. What did you like about the dolphins?

Keep up the Super work we look forward to your next blog post!!!

    3. Greetings Quein,

Thank you for replying to my comment! I like how magestic they look and all the tricks they do. Also, they are one of the closest animals to the Maori culture. What was your first favourite animal and why?

Thank you again for replying! :)

Thank your for your awesome replies, it is great to see that you enjoyed the activities. I must agree the Hector's and Māui of New Zealand are absolutely amazing. Dolphins are really smart and inquisitive animals they make the world a brighter place.

We are looking forward to your next post

  2. Hi Te Raumati

I've got a chance to catch up and see our your Summer Learning Journey is progressing. You are completing some great work and hopefully enjoying the variety of the challenges.

I think that your dolphin is a wonderful drawing. I think you have managed to capture both the look and character of a dolphin really well. To get the curve and sleek shape of the dolphin using straight lines is very clever.

    Keep up the great work.

    regards
